Lucasfilm, ILM – MaterialX is now Open Source!

Lucasfilm, ILM 將他們自行開發的 MaterialX 格式開放 , 這是用於解決製作生產線中利用不同軟件處理圖像物料的複雜工序, 情形似現在使用USD, Alembic等解決不同軟件的geometric互換 , 而 MaterialX則是針對Material上的處理 , 大廠如 Autodesk 及 Foundry 等公司都表示支持 !! 更多詳情將會在SIGGRAPH2017 中發表 ~
