CGV 3D model & printing competition – Final judgment !!

3D模型打印設計比賽 – 最後評審階段 , 上星期四在 CG LIVE Studio 內評審團為CGV – 3D模型打印設計比賽作品作最後的研討及評分。

再次感謝黄智亨導演, ThreeZero創作總監Kelvin , 3D建模專家Andrew Lee , 香港三維打印業商會及3DP 代表 Andrew及Jonathan , , 還有Bufee 的參與及協助!! (..當晚的攝影大哥Eddie ^_^)

20 scientific and technical achievements, involving 11 distinct investigations, have been selected for further consideration for 2015 Academy Awards.

美國電影藝術與科學學院 (奧斯卡) 公布”科技成果獎”已選定11項入圍項目 , 包括 MARI (The Foundry) CityEngine (Esri R&D Center Zurich) 及 FACETS – Directable Facial Motion Capture (Weta Digital) ” 科技成果獎”仍在接受提名 , 明年2月正式公布得獎名單!

New for SIGGRAPH 2015 – VR Village

SIGGRAPH 2015 正在LA舉行 , 今年VR 仍是大熱話題 , 更加入VR Village環節 .
今年paper也有不少新技術值得留意 , 包括Stanford及Nvidia研發的VR light field技術 , Sampling Based Scene-Space Video Processing , 還有香港大學的An L1 Image Transform for Edge-Preserving Smoothing and Scene-Level Intrinsic Decomposition 及Flow Aligned Surfacing of Curve Networks 等等
