Pixar Announces ??Suburban Fantasy??

在D23 Expo 中 Pixar公布最新動畫電影 , 除了已知到的《The Incredibles 2》(超人特攻隊2) 將於2018年中推出 , 2019 則有《Toy story 4》 , 還有一套未有公開名字的夢幻類影片由電影《怪獸公司》導演Dan Scanlon執導, 單是一幅concept art 已叫人期待!!

Lucasfilm, ILM – MaterialX is now Open Source!

Lucasfilm, ILM 將他們自行開發的 MaterialX 格式開放 , 這是用於解決製作生產線中利用不同軟件處理圖像物料的複雜工序, 情形似現在使用USD, Alembic等解決不同軟件的geometric互換 , 而 MaterialX則是針對Material上的處理 , 大廠如 Autodesk 及 Foundry 等公司都表示支持 !! 更多詳情將會在SIGGRAPH2017 中發表 ~
