DreamWorks cuts quarter of workforce in restructuring
夢工場動畫 因多套電影如《Turbor》, 《Rise Of The Guardiansr》, 《Mr. Peabody & Shermanr》, 以及《Penguins Of Madagascar》的票房失利 , 引至近52個星期以來股價下跌38.3% . 夢工場動畫 日前宣布重組架構 , 並將進行裁員 , 受影響人數達5百人 . 並即時關閉位於Redwood City 的PDI/DreamWorks 辦公設施 . 而將由每年製作3套動畫電影減至2套 .

一Click 完成的真人角色建模及穿骨系統『Quantum Human』Maya外卦正式發布!!
這個叫老外也嚇一跳的系統 , 出自香港著名CG公司ManyMany creations 創辦人桂濱先生 , 用了五年心血炮制~
『Quantum Human』系統強調一按鍵便把整個character modeling ＆rigging自動化 , 最快按鍵後一分鐘內完成 , 亦可續步自家定制 , 還配合muscle system和facial expression setup亦可自動化。支援使用3Dscan或zbrush模型 , 甚至任何arbitrary topology的人形model 。即使用家完全不懂topology. UV. Rigging.等等複雜的工序 , 只要幾個步骤便完全可以給專業製作團隊使用 , 並立即可製作動畫或貼圖進行render 等等。
雖然系統還未正式公開發售 , 但官方Quantum Human 網站亦提供大量示範影片 , 有興趣的朋友可訂噫抪s的資訊 .

美國電影藝術科學院(奧斯卡)公布今年 21 個科學及技術獎得主
著名音響工程師及Dolby實驗室主管-David W. Gray 得到 “Gordon E. Sawyer Award” ; 開發digital micromirror技術並應用於DLP劇院投影的 Dr. Larry Hornbeck 得到“Academy Award of Merit “ . 另外 , Steven Tiffen, Jeff Cohen 及Michael Fecik(Tiffen) 以開發減低IR影響的濾鏡而得到“Academy Award of Commendation”
