OpenCL – 超級運算研討會
由AMD, Sapphire , 景豐及GPUS將與來賓共同探討OpenCL及GPU並行計算的大趨勢, 並會由AMD資深軟件工程師陸璐博士擔任講師介紹OpenCL程序開發的基本模型 , GPU並行編程的典 型應用場景 , 以及AMD FirePro 專業顯卡卓越的GPU效能（5 GFLOPS per Watt）在高性能運算（HPC） 的應用

美國電影藝術科學院(奧斯卡)公布今年 21 個科學及技術獎得主
著名音響工程師及Dolby實驗室主管-David W. Gray 得到 “Gordon E. Sawyer Award” ; 開發digital micromirror技術並應用於DLP劇院投影的 Dr. Larry Hornbeck 得到“Academy Award of Merit “ . 另外 , Steven Tiffen, Jeff Cohen 及Michael Fecik(Tiffen) 以開發減低IR影響的濾鏡而得到“Academy Award of Commendation”
— [技術成就獎] 包括以下的技術開發者 : OpenVDB , MOVA system , ILM Shape Sculpting System , ILM PhysBAM Destruction System., ESC 的 Universal Capture system , Weta Digital的Barbershop hair grooming system , SpeedTree Cinema , DreamWorks Animation 的 Foliage System. 以製作Stop motion 動畫電影而著名的製作公司 – LAIKA 將他們2百多件電影公仔 , 模型及道具等公開拍賣 , 包括《Coraline》 , 《ParaNorman》及《The Boxtrolls》等作品 . 拍賣所得的一部分金額將捐獻給當地慈善機構 The Art of Elysium .
